Your child could be one of the over 80,000 children who have had a CDF Freedom Schools experience since 1995. The CDF Freedom Schools program works hard to ensure every child is equipped with the necassary skills to succeed in life. The program boosts student motivation to read, generates a more positive attitude toward learning and connects the needs of children and families to the resources of their communities. The need for access to out of school learning opportunities is great in Kalamazoo County with less than 20% of children having access to learning opportunities when school is closed! You can make a difference in the lives of children by helping to start and/or supporting an existing CDF Freedom Schools in your community. Educating for Freedom in Schools partners with corporations, faith groups, foundations, and individuals to successfully provide high quality summer and afterschool enrichment throughout the community.
